Since 2013,  zerOclassikal has been both a platform for emerging British SACC (South Asian contemporary classical) musicians from diverse heritages, and for facilitating progressions, experiments and developments in the genre. The project challenges the conventions of ‘traditional’ labels of South Asian music by making sense of the contemporary that surrounds it.

Since its inception, zerOclassikal has commissioned over twenty new works, curated and managed numerous tours and launched its own record label as well the UK’s first fully equipped recording studio dedicated to SAC music.
