Janan Sathiendran is a dedicated tabla player based in the UK - who has performed with zerOclassikal as part of our much loved Music in the Museum and FREE FLOW CLASSIKAL series.

His journey into classical music began at age 6. Over the years, Janan has built on his classical foundation to become a versatile player, with influences from Carnatic, Qawwali and contemporary music all shaping his unique musical voice. He has performed across the globe, from the Royal Albert & Festival Halls in London to venues in the US and UAE. His recent collaboration with the Orchestral Qawwali Project has garnered significant praise, including a headline performance at WOMAD 2023 that was highlighted in a review by the Financial Times.
